DISAM Successfully Deploys Wedgewood’s Customized Personnel Initiatives Certification System

CELEBRATION, FL—Wedgewood Consulting Group, Inc., a small, woman-owned management consulting, workforce initiatives development, and customized learning solutions company announced the Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management (DISAM) has successfully deployed Wedgewood's customized Personnel Initiatives certification system.

The Personnel Initiatives system was born out of a Department of Defense (DoD) initiative that sought to address federal workforce-related challenges, including the increasing complexity of world political and military situations, a decrease in potential new personnel, and the attrition of human capital. To tackle these issues, the DoD created a certification program for military and civilian personnel. The system, which is available via the worldwide web, allows military and civilian workers the opportunity to apply for certification, supervisors the chance to review applications in real-time, and military departments the ability to approve and award certificates.

The new system has created many other benefits as well. Users may now track their progress towards certification by entering courses as they are completed. Global administrators will soon be able to run custom reports on-demand, eliminating the time-consuming task for the service administrators. And the site provides standardization for the Army, Navy, Air Force and overall DoD organizations, despite differing certification requirements.

"After researching the DoD Agency's needs, we determined that they required a customized solution. The Personnel Initiatives system gives the Agency complete control over their certification program which covers a diverse workforce across the entire DoD," remarked Jamie Leddin, Principal of Wedgewood Consulting Group, Inc.
