Air Force International Affairs Career Field Communication Road Show

WASHINGTON, DC—Wedgewood Consulting Group, Inc. partnered with the office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs (SAF/IA) to conduct the International Affairs Career Field (IACF) Communication Road Show. Wedgewood worked with SAF/IA representatives to visit 9 CONUS International Affairs (IA) commands to explain the IACF concept and implementation timeline to over 600 members of the IA civilian workforce.

As SAF/IA's consultant, Wedgewood developed the concept and began implementing the IACF in March 2006. IACF will analyze the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities required to effectively execute IA programs in support of the Air Force mission and US national security objectives, and identify the education, training, and assignment experiences that serve to develop the IA workforce to meet those requirements.
