Wedgewood Announces Strategic Partnership with Six Sigma and Advanced Controls, Inc.

CELEBRATION, FL—Wedgewood Consulting Group, a leader in workforce development solutions, is partnering with Six Sigma and Advanced Controls, Inc. (SAC) to deliver world-class Six Sigma instruction and consulting.

Six Sigma is a critical component to Wedgewood’s Strategic Management Roadmap (SMR). The SMR allows Wedgewood to collaborate with clients to:

  • Set strategies and goals, that cascade to all levels of the organization
  • Implement processes, projects, and human capital development activities that achieve the most important goals
  • Establish a system to track progress, assess and make adjustments throughout the organization, and increase accountability

According to General Electric (GE), an early adopter of Six Sigma, "It has been estimated that less than Six Sigma quality...can cost a company as much as 10-15% of its revenue. For GE, that would translate into $11.2-16.7 billion of savings annually." Whether an organization is a commercial business or a public sector entity, the challenge to accomplish more with limited resources has become a consistent theme. Six Sigma, as part of Wedgewood’s SMR, provides organizations a solution to meet this common challenge.

Dr. Pradeep Deshpande, Professor Emeritus University of Louisville and President of SAC explains that true improvement requires "a change from the old ways of performing activities to pursuing them the Six Sigma way. All activities (including business processes) must be operated in the best possible manner...Six Sigma is the methodology to achieve this goal."

"This is such a natural partnership," said Ms. Jamie P. Leddin, Principal, Wedgewood Consulting Group, Inc. "Combining SAC’s world class Six Sigma training and Wedgewood's workforce development solutions strengthens our ability to help current and future clients drive organizational performance (and achieve outstanding results)."
